Did you know hearing loss impacts over 360 million people?1

Better Hearing and Speech Month is an annual event that has taken place every May since 1927. The event was started to raise public awareness, knowledge and understanding of various forms of communication impairments including hearing and speech.

With hearing loss becoming more common in young people, due to noise exposure, as well as with baby boomers, Better Hearing and Speech Month has become even more important as a means of reaching those reluctant to have their hearing tested. Few people are aware of this growing public health issue, its social and economic impact and the availability of hearing loss solutions, so Cochlear is proud to support this important event through our #MillionEar Challenge.

The #MillionEar Challenge reflects our commitment to the hearing loss community and the passion for bringing the gift of sound to those with hearing loss.

We encourage you to help us reach our goal of spreading the word about hearing loss and hearing loss solutions to two million people in 31 days through messages and stories of hope. When we reach our goal, Cochlear will celebrate this achievement by donating to Hearing Charities of America and the Cochlear Implant Awareness Foundation to help support people with hearing loss.

Visit www.MillionEarChallenge.com to take the challenge and help us reach two million people in 31 days!
