Whether you’ve had your processor for two days or two years years, Cochlear has made you a promise to “Hear Now. And Always.” Life happens, and accidents or problems may arise—but you can rest easy knowing that no matter what happens, Cochlear will work with you to get you back to sound quickly with Cochlear Link.

Here’s how it works: if your audiologist has Cochlear Link, he or she can upload your hearing map into an online database. That way, if your processor breaks, you lose it, or you’re somehow out of sound, Cochlear can ship you a replacement processor – with your hearing map already programmed – our goal is within one to two days.

Danielle is a parent whose daughter has a Cochlear Implant, and she experienced the power of Cochlear Link firsthand. She said the fast response helped her daughter start the school year with full sound and confidence.  “Over the summer while on vacation one of my daughter’s cables stopped working. We were able to use her aqua cable in the meantime, but this was not ideal. School was starting in a few short days so I called Cochlear to order another cable,” she said. “When I spoke with the customer service person I was ready with my credit card in hand. He looked up my account and said the cable was under warranty and could be replaced for free.”

Danielle said the service was above and beyond what she expected.  “Not only did Cochlear send a new cable, but they expedited the shipping so my daughter could have the correct parts for her first day of school. This is just one example of why we are so happy we chose Cochlear for our daughter,” she said.
Cochlear recipient and volunteer Margo has had Cochlear Implants for over 27 years. She said the service has been consistently reliable and is continuing to improve.  “I have long appreciated the service I’ve received from Cochlear, whether it is has been for a replacement processor, an order for a Cochlear part or accessory, or to order a processor upgrade,” she said.

Margo said she remembers that two decades ago she would have to wait five days for a replacement processor, and those were long days to be without sound for her and her family. Now, she doesn’t have to worry about being out of sound.  “Cochlear Link sounds great,” she said. “Speeding up the replacement sound processor process to Cochlear Implant recipients who go to a one-processor clinic like my center will be greatly appreciated.”
