16468492639_b60c7e0567_zThe Graeme Clark scholarship is available to Nucleus System recipients attending college in the fall, and the Anders Tjellström scholarship is available to Baha System recipients attending college in the fall. Here’s all the information you need to apply for the scholarship:

What do I get if I win?

  • A scholarship worth $2,000 per year for up to four years, given that you maintain a 2.5 GPA. You receive the scholarship at the end of each school year, after you submit your transcript

What are the winners selected based on?

  • Demonstrated commitment to the Cochlear ideals of leadership and humanity
  • Academic achievement

What I need to submit?

  • The Application Form signed in ink
  • Final school academic transcript
  • University Admissions notice
    • If you have been at university for more than one year, your college transcript is sufficient.
  • A one page list of the principal activities and awards in school
    • You should include prizes, scholarships, offices held, athletic record, extracurricular interests and other substantial activities
    • Include corresponding dates with each element
    • No smaller than 10 point font
  • A short personal statement including all of the following elements in fewer than 1,000 words:
    • Your academic aspiration and other interests
    • Why  you chose your proposed area of study (major)
    • Your aspirations post-graduation
    • Your definition of success
    • Why you wish to be a recipient of the scholarship.
    • You must sign your statement in ink
  • One photocopy of your birth certificate, passport or other proof of age and citizenship.
  • The letters of three references. (At least two of these must be someone from whom the applicant has received educational instruction.)
  • Written proof of residence (photocopy of driver’s license).
  • Scholarship Applicant Release Agreement form signed in ink.
